Finish: Fruity, with a touch of cocoa.

A Haut-Médoc red our team reaches for when a customer wants a Bordeaux built on blackcurrant and toasted oak.

How It Differs

Our Barton & Guestier French Tom Bordeaux is sold under the wider Bordeaux name. This one carries the narrower Haut-Médoc appellation and the Cru Bourgeois classification, and comes from the Château Magnol estate vineyard of about 30 hectares.

How to Serve

Serve at 16 to 18°C. The estate suggests red meat, grilled or roasted, especially lamb and duck breast, and fine cheese.

Ideal for: a weekend roast, a dinner with friends, and a gift for a Bordeaux fan.

Pairs with: for its blackcurrant, oak and sweet spice we suggest Cantonese roast duck, black pepper beef, Indian-Malaysian lamb varuval and Malay beef rendang.

More from the estate sits on the Chateau Magnol brand page, and Grant Burge GB88 Cabernet Sauvignon is another red for the same red meat table.
